Our company has been operating in the fruit and vegetable sector since 1964, and our commitment has always been oriented towards innovation throughout all these years. S.O.P. (the initials of the Società Ortofrutticola Polignanese company) is today a point of reference in the supply market of the Puglia region. This is a land which, due to its rich natural resources, has always been bountiful for growing fruit and vegetables. Many years of history, plus a cultural background passed on from one generation to the next, has smoothed the way for us to develop a sizeable and greatly significant experience with regard to the productions we deal with. Fruit and vegetables are a matter of culture and tradition for us.

Our location in Polignano a Mare (Bari) places us in the heart of the production and cultivation areas. This assures rapid processing of the products and hence greater freshness, not to mention constant control over the production phases, which means higher quality. Our plants cover a surface of 7000 sq. meters, and more than 150 experts in fruit and vegetable product processing are employed here during the initial production periods. We supply our products throughout the major European countries: from Germany to England, France, Ireland and all of the emerging European countries. We have also begun shipping to countries overseas in containers. Our company, which has always addressed the European markets, has known how to grasp the radical changes that trade has undergone by orienting itself towards “large distribution”. In this context, the original productive cycle was turned upside down, giving shape to a truly genuine “product transformation” that became essential for satisfying the ever more singular and specialised needs of the supermarkets.
